Light – the Invisible Component of Life?

biophotonen_handWe all know that light – the visible part of the electromagnetic spectrum – is crucial and indispensable to life; it is generated by the sun and supplies our earth with plenty of energy. The rest of the electromagnetic spectrum reaches our planet in the form of radio waves, heat, UV, X- and gamma-rays. All living organisms receive, collect and transform these waves in one or the other form.

But what about emission of light by living organisms? And I do not mean the glow worms, -flies or other luminescent creatures like from the deep sea. I mean the emission of minute amounts of light by common cells like the ones that you have in your body or from the vegetables in your garden.

No one has ever seen these transmissions due to their very low intensity, but since the invention of the photo-multiplier, which multiplies the captured light like an audio-multiplier does with sound, we can discover these minute amounts of light radiation.

All living organisms – from the most primitive life form till humans emit a constant flux of photons – bio-photons – that can be measured with this photo-multiplier. Primitive animals and plants emit about 100 photons/cm2 at a wavelength of 200-800nm (well within the visible spectrum). Humans emit about 10 photons/cm2 and at the same wavelength.

Recent research has shown DNA to be one of the most essential storage media of light and a source of emitting bio-photons. Moreover there is firm evidence of phenomena that is called “Photo-Curing”: a cell that has been bombarded with UV-rays can be destroyed for 99%, but when the remains of the cell are being exposed to rays with the same wavelength but with very little energy, the cell does recover almost completely. Photo-Curing works best at a wavelength of 380nm.

biophotonen_kopfThe scientist Fritz-Albert Popp investigated the light absorption of many organic chemicals, including carcinogenic ones. After having tested a vast number of them, he discovered that chemicals that are harmless allowed the light with this wavelength to pass, whereas all the carcinogenic ones blocked it. His mind blasting conclusion was that cancer is generated because these carcinogenic chemicals blocked the light, essential for the Photo-Curing process.

images1The photon emissions show a cyclic pattern: day/night, week, fortnight, month, 80 days and 270 days. Research showed coherence in the emissions of the left and right hand and any surplus is being emitted to reach equilibrium. People who suffered from a disease were emitting less light and with a lesser coherence. There seems to be sufficient data to back up the conclusion that any disturbance in the light emission pattern – amount and coherence – of a living organism is a sign for a disease. The internal communication between the cells of the organism is disturbed. Photo-analysis of seedlings of cucumber and potatoes showed that these were emitting light of unprecedented coherence which seems to lead to the conclusion that there must be some kind of sophisticated internal communication between all these cells, even at this level of evolutionary development. Photo-coherence is not only working inside an organism, but also outside of it, between living organisms, as an extra way of co-ordination and communication. An extract from the mistletoe was administered to a young woman who suffered from cancer and after one year she was totally cured because the extract caused the tumour to emit a normal photon-emission pattern again. The photon-emission balance had been normalised.

The more we have sophisticated equipment available to study our environment – close and afar – we discover amazing novelties which make previous conclusions obsolete. Why would it be different regarding life?
